The fact that it updates on the fly may be an intended feature but typing in a 
proxy and not using it is a serious bug.
If you have different proxies you can't have the "Use the same proxy" checked 
and if you disable the checkbox you loose the internet connection.

Why did you change the status to "Won't fix" ?
On my system I have to use a different SOCKS proxy than the HTTP proxy so I 
have to disable the "Use the same proxy" checkbox. If I do that I no longer 
have Internet access on my apps.

Why don't you consider this a bug?
Maybe I didn't explain the bug well enough.
