Today I installed "soundconverter" and RB started skipping out songs over my smb share. Later I could not listen to music at all because of an "access denied" error. So I de-installed "soundconverter" (gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs also was deleted as it is a dependency) and everything is OK. In my case It seems that gstreamer0.10-gnomevfs broke playing over smb shares. Upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic also breaks RB.
