Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs
Please refer to the following link, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KarmicKoala/ReleaseNotes#/etc/event.d%20no%20longer%20used Under Console Security in the Ubuntu 9.10 Server Guide (https://help.ubuntu.com/9.10/serverguide/C/console-security.html), the "Disable Ctrl+Alt+Delete" section contains an invalid path. The path "/etc/event.d/control-alt-delete" needs to be changed to "/etc/init/control-alt-delete.conf". On a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 Server, /etc/event.d/ does not exist. I am unaware of any migration implementation for an upgrade. The path may still exist for some users. ** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu Server Guide: Console Security, Disable Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and /etc/event.d https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/496465 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
