I ran the commands, at two different instances because the Debugging Kernel Problems didn't make it clear when I am supposed to run the commands and whether it matters if I run them on the kernel with the bug or not. The first set of uname-a.log, dmesg.log, and lspci-vvnn.log files are on the 2.6.20-8.14 kernel I am using as I write this message. The second time I ran the commands I added "-safemode" to the file names because I ran them under safemode of kernel 20-9.16, which did not crash. The normal 9.16 kernel never gives me access to command line before freezing up.
