This seems to still be problematic on an up to date karmic system. lsusb shows:
"Bus 001 Device 015: ID 03f0:2b17 Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 1020" But nothing shows up in the Add Printer dialog. We tried all of the things in bug#420015, but to no avail.
