Rick,

No, U1 isn't working. It kind of worked for a while, but was seriously
slow uploading files (slower than dialup). Then the cloud seemed to lose
all the files that had been uploaded. I've stopped using it as a memory
stick serves my purposes (Ubuntu/Mac cross platform, speed etc.) better,
and Ubuntu One is too flaky and unreliable to be trusted.

Regards,

Leo

Ubuntu one simply doesn't work. I have tried unsubscribing and resubscribing.
Sync occasionaly occurs, but only the folders appear to be updated. As far as I
can tell, no files have been uploaded. This is a Karmic update over Jaunty. I
have uninstalled and reinstalled and followed all of the miracle cures on the
forum. Unfortunately AFIAC this system is not fit for purpose. I'm unimpressed
with 9.10 in general - networking doesn't work in Nautilus, printing doesn't
work and a long list of other things. WRT u1, the system generated problem
report is inaccurate in that it reports bandwidth throttling 'on'. On top of
this, u1 has just reported a fatal (but unspecified) error. I'm very
disappointed.
