How did you create the usb live disk?
Maybe the drive is damaged, diid you try to write the imamge and install ubuntu
again?
Maybe the image you downloaded was corrupted, did you check the checksum of the
.iso?
This will help us to find out if this is a bug in the installation or something
went wrong on your side. Thanks in advance!
