Public bug reported: When watching content streamed from thecomedynetwork.ca my laptop locked up. The sound began to repeat, video froze, mouse non-responsive, no entry accepted from keyboard. This required a hard reset.
I was unable to see anything in my log files (occurrence should be at about 18:06 Dec 16). I suspect the main cause is either graphics or sound related. Possible relation to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/495322 (reported when on Jaunty). This is a FRESH install of Karmic, not upgraded. No hardware changes. Memory tested OK. ubuntu-restricted-extras is installed, otherwise this system is basically out-of-the-box.
