Pedro, I tryed this issue on Ubuntu 9.10 and it seems that the bug isn't present anymore. On 8.04 (at least in my installation) it's very annoying (in this situations task are unusable) but I don't think Ubuntu developers could fix this on that distro so, for me, the bug could be considered fixed.
