Hello, each vanilla KDE application contains an entry for reporting bugs in the „Help“ menu. Selecting this entry takes you to the KDE bug tracker and submits information about your system automatically. The Kubuntu developers *removed* this entry and inserted an entry that takes you to Ubuntu’s Launchpad.
I really wanted to report the above bug to the KDE developers directly, but I didn’t want to manually go to the KDE bug tracker and collect and send informations about my system. I’m really surprised that the Kubuntu people first replace the KDE bug report item by a Launchpad bug report item and then tell bug reporters that they should report their bugs to the KDE people. I propose that the Kubuntu team does one of the following: • Provide an update to Karmic that reintroduces the menu item for reporting bugs to the KDE bug tracker. • Accept KDE bugs reported to Launchpad. In case, the KDE bug tracker item is not reintroduced, I kindly ask you to reopen this bug.
