Hi Chris, Okay, did what you asked. I can confirm that this bug DOES NOT show up with the official OpenOffice packages and using the Sun Presenter Console 1.02 Extension. The presenter console works perfectly with either metacity or compiz activated. It appears to be the Ubuntu specific distro version of OpenOffice 3.1.1.
