Thanks for your reply. The requested file is attached and then I'll run that command. First of all, I'd like to highlight I reinstalled Ubuntu 9.10 from scratch so the attached file refers to the old system (I recovered that log file from a backup).
Also, GParted does not list the pen drive into its device list.
