For anyone wondering why this is fix committed and what it means: this bug in "Fix Committed" stage means it has been fixed upstream and the fix is also available in a Bazaar branch for the network-manager-applet package. It also means that a fix should be made available soon, through an update or through an upload to the current development release.
As this bug is marked targetted for karmic-updates, there should be an update published soon that will contain this fix. However, in the meantime, you could test the fix using the network-manager packages from the NetworkManager team PPA: https://edge.launchpad.net/~network- manager/+archive/trunk. Please do note that the packages provided there are likely to change regularly as they are daily builds (and may contain new bugs).
