Binary package hint: udev
Whenever I press the "brightness up" or "brightness down" function keys
on my laptop, the event registers in xev, but any subsequent attempts to
press "brightness up", "brightness down", or any function key
combination takes anywhere from 20 seconds to an minute to show up in
xev and apply their effect. Only the brightness function key
combinations trigger this bug; others, including XF86Display,
XF86Calculator, and XF86Webcam all work just fine and do not trigger
this issue.
I am using KDE, but this also happens when the PowerDevil power
management daemon is turned off, as well as at the login screen where
nothing can interfere/grab the keycode. It would seem that this is
either a kernel issue or a udev issue.
