Since recent updates (over the past week?), I've noticed that occasionally, my display will not turn back on when I open the lid. This is not opening from a sleep state. For AC Power, the machine is not set to sleep - I close the lid and may open it again in an hour and the display may not turn on. The machine is responsive (does not hang). I generally get the display to turn back on by pressing the suspend button and then waking it from suspend. Closing and reopening the lid does not help. Pressing FN+crt/lcd does not get the screen to turn on. I'm also not able to switch TTYs. lspci | grep VGA: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) As said, this is intermittent, and I cannot identify a pattern with it. It seems like the longer I leave the lid closed, the more certain this is going to occur. Executing "xset dpms force off" doesn't cause this (I haven't been able to reproduce it, at least).
