This in NOT A BUG in my case this was a hardware not a software issue. The Kingston mini SD to SD adapter lock button sometimes brushes against the side of the SD slot as it is inserted in the Acer AspireOne 250 & it is just enough to lock the disk! The other machines that I have all have more a generous space for the SD slot so they never experience a problem. Not a bug.
