Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox
This is not a bug in the program's function, but rather an odd way for it to function: >I have "Start playing files from last position" checked in the Preferences >menu. >I load a video file with subtitles and let it play for some time, then close Rhythmbox. >Double-clicking the same file again will start the video file playback as expected, but without subtitles. >Loading the subtitles causes the file to restart playback from the beginning of the file. So, this would defeat the purpose of having my file start from the last played position. I think this could be more user friendly in a few possible ways: 1) have subtitle files load automatically when "Start playing files from last position" is selected. 2) when loading subtitles, have the film resume from its original position, rather than restarting the file.
