Hello!

I'm running Ubuntu Hardy (8.04.3) and I had a bug almost similar to
this. The issue is that on every status change, like when I'm connecting
to a VPN (using vpnc plugin) or after disconnect (same issue on boot)
the /etc/resolv.conf is overwritten by NetworkManager. Even if I did set
the nameserver field NetworkManager doesn't use it. Instead it's using
some default location with generic settings which I cannot modify or
find so on every status change I have to manually change (through System
-> Administration -> Network or using the nm-applet (left click) menu
-> Manual configuration) the location to have the settings properly
refreshed in /etc/resolv.conf. Thanks!

P.S. Perhaps somebody has an idea how to set the default location for
Network Manager (that is used every time) as a workaround.
