Hi!

I'm running Kubuntu Karmic on an ASUS X51R:
uname -a:
 Linux daniel-laptop 2.6.31-16-generic #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC

dmesg (Excerpt):

Audio Output is working perfectly fine, only Input is broken.
The "..spurious response..." and ".... Too big adjustment..." messages begin
when trying to record from within audcity.
They Don't start popping up when running skype.

I can, however, hear myself in the speaker if I turn up the Output level
of the Mic in KMix, so the Mic is woring, and sound is actually passing
through the system somehow... ;-)

Any hints? Or any further info you need?
