Sorry for the previous double post. The problems are still there: the same exact problems. I thought it was because of the upgrade to the new feisty kernel 2.6.20-9, BUT after having reinstalled nvidia drivers I'm having the same problems. I tried also to run xorg with nv drivers and the same problems appears. So it's not a nvidia drivers problem.
