i have run a memtest and my memory is fine. I did some more diagnostics and here is what i found. Whenever this happens, if i run dmesg i get an EXT4-fs error: Inode *** was part of an orphaned inode list. where *** is some number. The next line in dmesg states that the filesystem has been marked readonly. When i reboot, i have to manually run fsck and fix some errors.
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- system crashes.
