Public bug reported:
Sporadically resume from suspend fails.
There is no login prompt from X and permanent disk activity.
The graphics card appears not to be in the text mode. Ctrl-Alt-F1 has no effect.
After 30 minutes of wait I have power cycled.
The restore point: Jan 6 09:58:42
There is a hint in /var/log/messages: pm-suspend: page allocation failure.
order:10, mode:0x4020
followed by stack dumps.
At the time of suspend there were VirtualBox and VMWare workstation running
(the kvm_intel module was removed).
I am sure that on other occasions I had VMWare and no VirtualBox
I had the same experience with 2.6.31-16.53
