I second this. I came across this bug report because I got the same
error message, and couldn't figure out what icon it was talking about.

I'm a long time Ubuntu/linux user (command line). Though I havn't used
gnome or kde in 3 year.

Your average user would get really confused at that message.

So I agree, instead of:

"Click the icon to get more information.""

It should be something like:

"Click the icon in the notification area on the top right of your screen
to get more information."
