Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.5

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

LiveCD of Ubuntu 9.10 doesn't boot on my Compaq Presario CQ50-139NR. MD5SUM of
LiveCD has been
properly verifed. The only way I could get 9.10 installed was to boot a
previous Release Candidate (RC),
which booted properly, and installed. After the install I updated with UPDATE
MANAGER.

I tried SAFE VIDEO MODE (F4 Option#2) and that did not help. CDR's were burnt
with K3B, as DAO and at 4X.
I did not try to remove the quite cheatcode, or check to see what was in dmesg
tail.

I'll try and supply any information you need, but I need the commands to
try.

Thanks.
