I've noticed that there are a couple more that can be played but aren't associated in /usr/share/applications/xine.desktop . Basically the following need to be added to the .desktop file: video/x-ms-wmv audio/x-vorbis+ogg (oddly enough this will match theora videos) video/mp4 -- WMV mimetype is not associated with xine-ui https://launchpad.net/bugs/43221 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
