Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

I am currently running Lucid development cycle. If I login running on
battery gnome-power-manager is not shown in the notification area. Also
if I run gnome-power-preferences it does not detect my battery.

If I plug in the power cable the charging battery shows up in the
notification area. If I unplug the power cable the icon stays. Gnome-
power-preferences still don't show the battery.
