Same problem for me. I have IMAP and CalDAV account, both configured over SSL. When I start Thunderbird, it tries to load IMAP folder, but without success. GUI responds, but CPU load is on high level. When I click to Calendar, the CalDAV calendar is shown as empty. Disabling of lightning extension helps me.
