FYI -

I did the upgrade this AM from BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-14-generic
root to 2.6.31-16.
I restarted and I got No ath5k noise floor errors.
Reading dmesg log I found that the 2.6.31-14 image was used in the restart.

I can fix the update-grub error, but I am thinking that something changed in
such a way to
fix the bug.
