As a matter of fact, ekiga-snapshot does not install because it needs higher
dependencies than those to be installed (it would be my only resort though, so
once again I have to manually get all the packages)
Yannick's ekiga2.6.5 installs, however i get an error
ekiga: error while loading shared libraries: libpt.so.2.6.4: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory
Well, this file is still in locate database but it is missing, since it is
substituted by libpt.so.2.6.5
So nothing works for me.
As a philosophical observation, I should add, that with all the enhancement of
ubuntu 9.10 it gets more nad more bloated so that a lot of updated versions
refuse to work, while they work flawlessly in 7* , 8* and 9.04. My FreeBSD does
not know such difficulties at all including the last 8.0-RELEASE version. It is
 a sad sad trend....
