Interesting behavior. Just opened gedit after having copied some text from a java app (netbeans); the entry "paste" in the menus is disabled, but if I type the combination "Ctrl+V", the text is actually pasted. In terminal, the "paste" entries are disabled, and the combination "Ctrl+Shift+V" doesn't work either.
