Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ttf-freefont

I'm running Karmic, and have the ttf-freefont package (version
20090104-2) installed. The Japanese katakana middle dot (・) is off
center, to the left, when using the FreeSans font. This makes strings of
text that contain this glyph, such as "マ・ジ・ヤ・バ" (a Japanese song I have
playing in Rhythmbox), look pretty weird where FreeSans is used. As ttf-
freefont is a dependency of ubuntu-desktop, this bug shows on default
installations. This bug only occurs at point sizes 9 through 12.

** Affects: ttf-freefont (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
