Confirmed fixed on Fedora 12, using gtk2-2.18.6-1.fc12.x86_64 This GTK2 version was already installed on my PC as part of a regular update on Jan. 17th, but I hadn't noticed this fix yet because I was still running Inkscape using the workaround.
