I have a normal Asus P4P800 motherboard, with an SATA HD containing Edgy and a second IDE HD on which I installed Feisty Herd 5.
When only running the IDE drive, there is no problem. When turning on the SATA drive as well, I get the "lost interrupt" and "dma_timer_expiry" errors on bootup. After adding the options noapic, nolapic and irqpoll the system boots without problems. I have attached the output of sudo lspci -vv. Is it normal that there are several different refference to my motherboard? E.g. P5P800-MX, P4P800-SE?
