I tried to suspend and then resume the machine (with a clean install of feisty). Prior to the suspend and resume there was a /var/log/kern.log.0, but after a hard reset and reboot, there was only a /var/log/kern.log, which is attached.
When I tried to resume the machine, nothing happened for a few seconds, then a single error message on the console showed: [2039.112000] ata 1.00: failed to spin up (err_mask=0x4) Last night when trying to suspend/resume, the same error showed up: [618.976000] ata 1.00: failed to spin up (err_mask=0x4) This seems to indicate a problem with the libata ACPI code (as presumed in bug #74877). I'm going to rebuild my kernel with the patch as one of the comments in that bug suggests to see if it works on this machine. ** Attachment added: "kern.log" http://librarian.launchpad.net/6640377/kern.log -- Regression [feisty] HP TC4200 fails to resume properly after suspend https://launchpad.net/bugs/89779 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
