Salut! Here is my #1 test result: Laptop Ubuntu 9.10 64bit, NvidiaQuadro video card, Nvidia proprietary driver disabled, compiz disabled.
The command gst-launch-0.10 v4l2src ! ffmpegcolorspace ! ximagesink activates the webcam correctly. I created the (attached) log file with the following operations: - open Luciole with luciole -v > luciole.log 2>&1 - Create new project (webcam) - Press the luciole button - Get the scary error message ;-) - Close the project - Exit Thank you very much for your work on this bug.
