The best way would be to wait for gpsd 2.91 as the svn version is a bit buggy at some points. But if it makes to many issues I can coordinate a sync of the svn version to ubuntu. 2.91 was supposed to be out since some weeks but the developers didn't have the time to finish it unfortunately.
