Public bug reported: The above USB wi-fi dongle (D-link DWL-G122) usually works fine. But occasionally it stops working (lights go off, I'm disconnected, error messages like "rt2x00usb_vendor_request: Error - Vendor Request 0x06 failed for offset 0x0410 with error -110" printed in kern.log and syslog). It used to be the case that unplugging it and plugging it back in when this happens made it start working again. But in Karmic, unplugging it sometimes causes a kernel panic. At least, I assume it's a kernel panic -- no messages are written in any of the log files (the last entry is usually one of the rt2x00 messages above), but the display freezes, and alt+sysrq+REISUB (which I've never had fail before) has no effect.
On Karmic, with the latest kernel.
