Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy
When I receive a new message from someone on my buddy list, I'm used to the behavior other chat systems (PC or Mac, for example) have, where the message automatically pops open. This alerts me to the fact that there IS a new message, much better than the current Empathy "blinky" thing. I'm definitely in favor of making this a user preference - clearly you may not *want* a message box to just pop itself open, but if I want the behavior using a user pref to enable this would be great.
