Given the feedback from the Debian Maintainer, and my own personal bias
against adding .desktop files for CLI apps, I'm marking this wontfix.
Those with interest in using the provided Debian menu may be interested
in the very wide number of menu files for terminal applications
available in the Debian menu after installing menu-xdg.
