I can reproduce a similar behavior. Until yesterday, the boot process got stuck after the SYSFS warnings. Since yesterday, the messages disappear after the KMS mode switch and there is only a blank screen with a blinking cursor. In console 7 I get a bank screen and, some minutes after I get a "plymouth with process (...) killed by STOP signal". I don't know how to gather more information as I cannot log into the system.
