This is perhaps a dublicate to the bug 510524: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/510524
Try removing the package plymouth completely. But note that the package libplymouth2 must remain untouched. You may be able to boot into recovery mode. Then drop into shell and run command: sudo apt-get purge plymouth -- [Lucid] No longer boots with new 2.6.32-12 generic kernel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/518452 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
