I can confirm this bug on a laptop with a nvidia card with the nvidia-
current-driver.
A small precision : the freeze happen only when typing "enter" after
typing my password in gdm, or trying to switch to a console
(Ctrl+Alt+F1) but the scroll lock light lights up after typing a fey
keys and stays up until typing enter (after which the scroll lock light
is off and everything is frozen).
I can work arround this bug by starting in recovery mode and then
starting gdm manually (sudo service gdm start).
