Public bug reported: After installing eucalyptus with the nc on the front end (its just on my home workstation for testing), I found instances wouldn't start... investigating via nc.log led me to the following directories being missing:
/var/lib/eucalyptus/instances/admin/ /var/lib/eucalyptus/instances/eucalyptus/ /var/lib/eucalyptus/instances/eucalyptus/cache/ mkdir and chowning them to eucalyptus:eucalyptus let it get further, though I still haven't successfully brought up an instance.
