Something like this is happening to me. I run Ubuntu (the stripped-down VM version) in Virtualbox. I noticed this morning that my openafs and virtualbox modules weren't loading properly. It looks like I installed a kernel update on 2/6 (/var/log/dpkg.log attached).
My guess is that dkms can't find the kernel headers. For instance, jle...@ubuntu-vm:~$ dkms build -m openafs -v 1.4.11 Error! Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.31-19-generic-pae cannot be found at /lib/modules/2.6.31-19-generic-pae/build or /lib/modules/2.6.31-19-generic-pae/source. You can use the --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it's located. This is despite the fact that I have the linux-virtual package installed... ** Attachment added: "var-log-dpkg.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/39032372/var-log-dpkg.txt -- DKMS should rebuild modules as soon as new headers are available https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/324365 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
