If you do not want to blacklist the ricoh_mmc driver then you can use
SUSPEND_MODULES.

Add SUSPEND_MODULES="ricoh_mmc" into /etc/pm/config.d/suspend_modules
(create the file it if it does not exist)

Then the kernel will unload the module before suspending and reload the
module when resuming.

tried it on ubuntu 9.10 with 2.6.31-14-generic i686.
