Could you please also attach the output of "sudo dmidecode"? I agree that this is a nonsense message in your case, but it is harmless. What it effectively means is that the BIOS provided an MP table, when it shouldn't've at all (since this isn't an SMP system) and since we ship SMP kernels by default (but disable it during the boot process when only one processor is present) it generates this warning.
