Well, that's not a solution. I expect my keyboard to function every time I boot up, and not just when I boot up without using the enter key, then log out, then log back in. In addition, when I log in, my keyboard preferences do not stay. My "layouts" section shows just Dvorak (which is what I installed with) and keeps dumping my alternate layout, which is USA. My Keyboard Model says Asus-Laptop, but it's not. It's back to Generic-105, or whatever the layout is that doesn't recognize my Enter key. I'd put in paragraph headings to make this clearer, but I can't.
