Public bug reported: Binary package hint: k3b
I have Kubuntu 9.10 with Kde 4.3.2 on my new Asus K51AC computer. When I try to burn a CD, there are allways crashes, so I made my last trys on a RW CD, which I can format without problems but no burnig possible. After the lead in it crashes and says: buffer underrun, not enough rights. etc I use the k3b setup and have the following rights: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSAT50N /dev/sr0/ 660 root.cdrom and cdrdao 1.2.2 /usr/bin/cdrdao 4711 root.root cdrecord 1.1.9 /usr/bin/wodim 4711 root.root growisofs 7.1 /usr/bin/growisofs 0755 root.root I have also a Toshiba satellite 420 (2003) with kubuntu 9.10 on it and an old cd burner: it works without problems. So in my opinion there is an incompatibility between k3b and the device. Please try to find a solution.
