It looks like you have some problem with filesystem permissions that prevent Ubuntu One from working normally. Could you please provide the output of the following commands here? ls -ld /home/rtg/.local/share/ubuntuone ls -ld /home/rtg/.local/share/ubuntuone/shares It looks like chmod() operation is failing because ubuntuone is not owned by the user that is now running the system.
