Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-shell
Gnome-shell is running relatively well most of the time. However, if I launch a terminal server client session, the following happens: * Alt-tab no longer responds * I can't get to alternative desktops * I can't type into open shells (but I can into other things, such as the web browser) * I can't get to the activities screen * Window redraws can fail * I can't type into the terminal server client session unless the mouse pointer is over the terminal server client window All this is resolved when I log out of the terminal server client session. * Ubuntu 9.10 desktop AMD64 * /usr/bin/gnome-shell 2.28.0-0ubuntu2 * /usr/bin/tsclient 0.150-2ubuntu2 ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Tue Feb 23 11:09:13 2010 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: gnome-shell 2.28.0-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-19.56-generic SourcePackage: gnome-shell Uname: Linux 2.6.31-19-generic x86_64 ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug -- gnome-shell stops working when terminal server client is running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/526381 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
